Auli, the mesmerising destination with the beautiful panorama of lofty peaks, covered in snow and the glaciers melting down to form the cascade, is a small hilly town in the Chamoli district of Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is situated at an elevation of 2500 metres to 3050 metres above the sea level. Auli is the place which is gaining the popularity of skiing hub of India. In local language it is known as “AuliBugyal”, meaning the meadow.
